ICG Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024 | Eligibility
Indian citizens having following minimum qualifications are eligible to apply:-
- Branch : General Duty
- Should hold a degree from a recognised university.
- Should have Mathematics and Physics as subject up to Intermediate or class XII.
- Branch :Technical (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics)
- Should hold an Engineering degree from a recognized university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace. OR Equivalent qualification of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India).
- Should hold an Engineering degree from a recognized university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics. OR Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India).
- Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII.

Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024 | Selection Process /Syllabus
- Selection Procedure: The selection of Assistant Commandants is based on performance of candidates in 5 stages of Examination, stages (I – V). The details of various stages of examination are as follows:
- Stage-I {Coast Guard Common Admission Test(CGCAT)}. The test comprises of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying four marks for each correct answer and one negative mark for each incorrect answer. The duration of the test will be of two hours.
- Subject Wise Distribution of Marks for CGCAT are As follows:
- English – 25 Marks
- Reasoning & Numerical Ability – 25 Marks
- General Science & Mathematical aptitude – 25 Marks
- General Knowledge – 25 Marks
- Subject Wise Distribution of Marks for CGCAT are As follows:
- Stage-II {Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)} which will be conducted for a day. Candidates will be screened through a Computerised Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT).
- Stage-III: Final Selection Board (FSB). FSB is conducted at the Coast Guard Selection Board (CGSB) located at Noida and spans over five days. The candidates are subjected to Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality test) and Document Verification.
- Stage-IV (Medical Examination). The candidates who clear Stage-III are required to undergo a special medical examination at Base Hospital, New Delhi.
- Stage-V (Induction). The candidates who clear Stage – IV and stand in All India Merit List as per the vacancies available will be provisionally selected for training and will be required to report at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala for Naval Orientation Course (NOC) as per the instructions.
